What Are My Options?

Bankruptcy is generally divided into two classes. The Federal Bankruptcy Code divides bankruptcy rights and solutions into two chapters, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13.

It is important to meet with an experienced bankruptcy attorney to analyze your particular financial situation and goals, and to help make the right decisions.

Chapter 7 Debt Relief – This type of bankruptcy gives immediate relief from many of your debts when the bankruptcy is finalized. Many people think that the new laws from 2005 have made it harder to qualify. This is simply not true.

Chapter 13 Reorganization – Under this chapter, you are allowed to partially repay your debts over three to five years. In many cases, these debts will be repaid without late fees or interest.

We have substantial knowledge of the different chapters and their implications and will help you understand your rights and options.
